😎☀️⛱️ Summer is officially here and the weather isn’t the only thing heating up!

As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, we are excited to bring you the latest updates from around our Village.

Village moves 💫

Welcome

This month we welcomed StratfordToday reporter Mo Fahim to our team.

Congratulations!👏

TimminsToday turns 10 🥳

TimminsToday.com 10 years old

A decade of delivering dedicated and reliable local news to a community is certainly something to celebrate!

TimminsToday has done just that - recently celebrating its 10th anniversary of providing compelling stories that matter to the community.

Our team has shared hundreds of stories over the years - from breaking news to business features to event coverage and heartwarming stories about our neighbours.

Read editor Maija Hoggett’s reflection on the TimminsToday journey here.

Q: What do you get when you gather editors from around our Village?

A: An informative and engaging editorial off-site event!

Our editors came together from our local news sites around Ontario for an in-person event where they were able to share ideas, learn from (and about) each other and gain some new perspectives on local journalism.

The 2024 North Bay, Orillia and Guelph Community Builders Awards are complete 🤝

GuelphToday Community Builders Award winners attend the awards lunch reception held at Buon Gusto Restaurant

GuelphToday’s recent Community Builders Awards reception marked the end of our spring CBA events, officially wrapping up three inspiring and heartwarming events.

We celebrated 30 community leaders making a positive and lasting impact on their communities.

Thank you to our Cares team, local teams, sponsors, nominators, and of course, the incredible recipients, for making this such a special and memorable community event.

Next up: Fall awards will take place in Sault Ste. Marie and Barrie.

Pawesome Villagers of the month 🐾

Photos of Norman the dog and Miss Kitty the cat

🐶 Meet Norman & Miss Kitty! 🐱

Norman is a 1.5 year old Springer cross who enjoys playing with his pals at the dog park, swimming, car rides and LOTS of snuggles. He has almost perfected the ability to not chase the neighbour’s chickens. 🐔

Miss Kitty is the princess of her home. 👑 She enjoys lounging, watching birds out the window and rising early in the morning to ensure she gets a treat first thing to start her day.

Until next month!
