A big congratulations to Alex Flood, who is moving from our SooToday editorial team to hit the ground running in Toronto as a reporter for TorontoToday.

Congratulations, Alex!

Our Toronto team is sure to benefit from your talent and tenacity as a local news reporter.

Speaking of TorontoToday ...

TorontoToday.ca

The countdown is on!

TorontoToday is set to officially launch in October, joining our Village as the newest hyperlocal news site in the network.

While in a much larger market than our typical sites, TorontoToday will follow our model of providing comprehensive coverage of the community β€” spotlighting the people, places, events and information that define the vibrant neighbourhoods comprising the heart of Toronto in the downtown core.

While Toronto boasts exceptional media coverage, TorontoToday aims to elevate hyperlocal journalism within Toronto’s downtown districts. Whether you live, work or play in this dynamic area, our boots-on-the-ground reporting will help foster deeper connections to the community.

Stay tuned for updates on who will comprise the Toronto team in the coming weeks.

SPACES is ready to launch πŸš€

SooToday.com Spaces. See you there!

After years of research, development and fine-tuning, the future of community connection is here.

SPACES will be introduced to our first community, Sault Ste. Marie, in October.

The neighbourhood social media network brings a new approach to fostering meaningful connections in a safe digital space.

The SPACES team has secured dozens of hosts for launch, all subject matter experts in their respective fields who are passionate about sharing their local knowledge with the community.

Join us as we embark on this exciting journey, where there is a space for everyone.
